Follow Christ

Date: Sunday, 13th Jan 2013

Preacher: Apostle Rev Kinsley Kesse (visit to Lighthouse Chapel Int. – Lilly of the Valley Cathedral)

Bible Verse: Matthew 23:7 – 12

Verse 7: And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

Verse 8: But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

Verse 9: And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

Verse 10: Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

Verse 11: But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

Verse 12: And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Hello dear brethren,
I greet you with joy and peace from our maker. On Sunday we had a surprise visit from a beloved man of God, a man who used to pastor our branch church, now transferred to do the work of God all over the world. He is just wonderful. We love you apostle.

Now to the sermon follow Christ. Jesus Christ our Lord, master and saviour lived a life that any Christian in any part of the world should learn to follow or imitate to be qualified to be called a Christian. This sermon focused on the humble and serving side of Jesus. As read from the passage, Jesus Christ tells His disciples about how we are all equal as brothers and sisters, and that we have only one master which is the Messiah Himself. Meaning one should not boost of himself as a master for there is but only one master. He goes on to tell them how the greatest among them MUST BE a servant.

The greatest key to becoming the greatest is serving others and that is not easy in any way especially if they are your juniors, but the reward we gain by being humble is that God will exalt us. Wow, what other promotion is even nearer to the promotion from God.

The preacher also talked about the fact that God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). If you humble yourself before the Lord, He lifts you up but if you are a proud person He sure humbles you. This is how it works, every now and then God sends His angels to go down the level of “proud and humble stick” to see who is down there on the humble side so He can lift them up. And to those on the proud side of the stick He humbles them, it’s that simple. One thing we should know is that if God brings you down, nothing can bring you up and verse versa.

We should also know that when we serve a master or a supervisor, be it in the church or the work place, well just anywhere, it really does not mean we are humble because it is expected of us to serve our supervisors or leaders. Humble is what makes us serve our juniors and anybody else. May we be humble and receive grace from the Lord God Almighty in Jesus name. Amen.

Church Prophecies for 2013 [part 2]

Date: Wednesday, 9th Jan 2013

Preacher: Rev Ernest Aryee (Lighthouse Chapel Int. – Lilly of the Valley Cathedral)

Bible Verse: Isaiah 60:1-3

Verse 1: ARISE, SHINE; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

Verse 2: For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the
Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

Verse 3: And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

Verse 4: Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.

Verse 5: Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.

This mid-week service was a continuation of “the prophecies of 2013” started on Sunday 6th January. The pastor gave many revelations that were going to happen in Ghana and Africa if the church does not pray. In fact, these revelations are very disturbing revelations. The pastor revealed to us that death had opened its mouth wide to consume prominent and great men in Africa, most from Ghana.
The church needs to pray very had to avoid this from happening. Sometimes we think because a prophet or man of God prophecies in our lives then it surely must come to pass. Well, it’s not always the case. In some instances or cases we can change that cause by praying to our maker, He who hears the cries and pleads of His children. The fact that death is in the air does not mean we can’t pray to prevent it from killing the great men God has blessed us with.
Let us be steadfast and pray to the Most High to spare Ghana and Africa from these dangerous and heartbreaking revelations.
See some of the revelations of 2013 here.

Church Prophecies for 2013

Date: 6th Jan 2013

Dear brethren in the Lord, ARISE from whatever that is troubling you or anything that is oppressing you. If there is anything that has caused you to be demoralised, downhearted or discouraged in your life, whether before or during 2012 this is your time to rise above that situation in the name of Jesus. This is your time to SHINE for your light has come in 2013 because the Glory of the Lord is come upon you.
Know that even though trouble or challenges will come to the earth and the masses of the people, one thing the good Book assures us is that the Lord will favour His people and His Glory shall come upon us and we shall bright even where there is darkness. For when the light meets darkness the darkness comprehended not and the light conquer it.
When we have risen above our troubles and now shine, the Lord promises that nations and kings shall see our light from far and it shall attract them to come to us. Kings here represents authority, prominence, ruler ship and persons of high ranks. Great people will come to you in whatever small thing that you are doing (business, education, family, health). I pray that this year is a year of shinning for you and your family in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. STAY BLESSED...

Cross Over Night: 2013 year of faithfulness and loyalty

Date: 31st Dec 2012

Preacher: Rev Ernest Aryee (Lighthouse Chapel Int. – Lilly of the Valley Cathedral)

Bible Verse: 1 Corinthians 4:2

Verse: Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

The year 2013 has been declared by my church (Lighthouse Chapel Int.) as a year of faithfulness and loyalty to the Lord. The word “steward” in the Bible verse can also mean manager, overseer or ruler. One thing we must know is that for even a mortal man to make you a manager over his property or company, that man has to find you faithful, sincere, honest or dependable. No one puts someone in charge without first making sure he or she is dependable.
How can we tell or show God that we are dependable and we are ready to take charge of something (a child, marriage, business, a raise in salary, a job, education or anything you are expecting from God). How can God know that when He gives you a child you can take care of that child and show him or her love when you have no love and do not care for other children around you. Are you faithful to the Lord with the beloved (boyfriend or girlfriend) He has given you? If not then how do you expect God to usher you into marriage? Do you pay your tithe even with the little you earn? If not, how faithful will you be to Him when you earn more than you do now? Do you have time for God even though you not employed? If not, how will you find time for Him when he grants you the job that you so wish for.
Lets all be faithful and loyal to our Creator so we are found faithful in His sight, then we will be made stewards or managers over things that we wish for. May God help us to be faithful and loyal to Him, in Jesus name. Amen.
